The Benevolent fund exists to oversee and maintain the Hoo St Werburgh Hall and Masonic Temple.

The Hall and Temple are rented out to Masonic Lodge and several side degrees. Namely: Hoo St. Werburgh Masonic Lodge No 4829 Hundred of Hoo Lodge No 8986 Hoo St. Werburgh Royal Arch Chapter No 4829 Hundred of Hoo Mark Lodge No 1326 Hoo Peninsula Rose Croix No 1215 Westwood Precentory Knights Templar No 433

Additionally the Hall is also rented out to other organisations. Namely: Slimming World Hartbeeps FA Coaching Hoo Spartans football

Financial review:

Bank account: Nat West Bank plc, 601736 Account Number: ****0326 Financial year ends 31[st] December Examined Trustee Account for the year added as a separate item. The Hall and Temple rented out to Masonic Lodge and several side degrees raised £7,617.41 Hall rented out to other organisations raised £2,895.00. Grant from the Local Council for Covid interruption amounted to £11,467.20 The sale of the old cooker also contributed £500.00

Maintenance and Gas Safety work and a new cooker purchase was carried out with costs of £6,263.02. and Fire Risk Assessment cost was another £228. A new radiator was required at a cost £276.00 and replacement of a heating boiler cost £2,583.39.

There is concern that we shall lose the income from Hundred of Hoo Lodge No

8986 as they can no longer afford our rent. This amounts to £2,176,82. The trustees will need to look for other avenues to make up this deficiency.

Other information:

If the Covid crisis continues and with gas prices rising the future will be challenging.
