The land and building costs. were on eompletion. transferred into the acUnts of the Corton Almshouse Chanty from Corton Poorfs Land Trust with a rdating long-term creditor being shown to pSent the ¢apttal recoupment to be made in the fiJture. The truslees c$jer th8 market value of the proFerties exceeds the value shown in the balan sheet. but exact value cannot be detgrmin8d thOut a professional vaknation. The Almshouses and Cottage Homes are for poor persons, in a¢cordan¢e with the obiectsves of the charity. The costs of improvements to the Cottage Homes met out of the income of Ccvton Poc¢s Charity were transferred into the acc(MJnts of the Corton Almshouse Charity. A new BT line was instaNed to support the warden call system. has since been upgraded to a digital system, and new extractor fans have been installed in all bur¥Jalows. The agreed Current Inv8stment Policy rematns unchaw and ¢)ffers a moderate risk with long-lem protecllon from inflation, and this is appropriate for the Charis kry4emi strategy conceming the capital value of its investments. as it is not reliant on tho interest from the investrn8nts of th8 day-tcpday op8ration of the Charity.
