Hadley (“the area of benefit”)

(b) To assist as far as possible the
local authorities and others in the
interests of social welfare.

or hereafter may by law be deemed to be
charitable.

Para 1.20 The part-time co-ordinators have
arranged transport, carried out by
volunteers, to take older and isolated
residents of the area of benefit to various
medical appointments. In addition, trips
were made to collect pensions,
prescriptions and shopping either for, or
with, clients. We have 7 volunteers who
drive for us. A total of 618 trips were
organised.
7 gardens were kept tidy, with a few visits
per garden. This work is no longer
funded by Barnet Council but we
continue to provide the service and use 1
contractor and 3 volunteers.
We have 69 clients who have asked for
befriending visits and there are 23
volunteers who visit on a regular basis.
