Para 1.17 | The charity exists in order to promote any charitable purpose for the benefit of the community and in particular: (a) To provide voluntary help, as specified in the literature issued from time to time by the Scheme, to those in need in the district of High Barnet being the area of the former Barnet UDC and the ecclesiastical parish of Monken Hadley (“the area of benefit”) without distinction of sex or of political, religious or other grounds. (b) To assist as far as possible the local authorities and others in the interests of social welfare. To pursue any related objects which now or hereafter may by law be deemed to be charitable. |

Para 1.20 | The part-time co-ordinators have arranged transport, carried out by volunteers, to take older and isolated residents of the area of benefit to various medical appointments. In addition, trips were made to collect pensions, prescriptions and shopping either for, or with, clients. We have 7 volunteers who drive for us. A total of 618 trips were organised. 7 gardens were kept tidy, with a few visits per garden. This work is no longer funded by Barnet Council but we continue to provide the service and use 1 contractor and 3 volunteers. We have 69 clients who have asked for befriending visits and there are 23 volunteers who visit on a regular basis. |

Responsibilities and As the charity trustees of the Trust, you are responsible for the preparation basis of report of the accounts in accordance with the requirements of the Charities Act .
under section 145 of the 2011 Act and in carrying out my examination, I have followed the applicable Directions given by the Charity Commission under section 145(5)(b) of the Act.
Independent I have completed my examination. I confirm that no material matters have examiner's statement come to my attention in connection with the examination which gives me cause to believe that in, any material respect:
accounting records were not kept in accordance with section 130 of the Act or
the accounts do not accord with the accounting records
I have no concerns and have come across no other matters in connection with the examination to which attention should be drawn in order to enable a proper understanding of the accounts to be reached.
