Financial headlines
We are pleased to report that FOMS (committee members along with parents/carers of our school community) raised £14,950.48 and after expenses a profit of £7,730.07.
Our biggest fundraiser this year has once again been the Christmas fayre, as seen in previous years, with £2,057.98 profit. Followed by the three annual shopping events (Christmas, Mother’s day and Father’s day) with £1,607.01 profit.
Our regular Bags2school, non-uniform days and cake/lolly sales guaranteed us a solid profit of £1,540.53. All events aforementioned generated very minimal expenses for the charity which made them all the more worthwhile.
Treasury news
January saw the introduction of a new Treasury team - Natalie Towle, Pippa Warrener and Sarah Siddiqi-Parris who were supported by Katherine Horton (who also provided support as the committee Secretary!) until the end of the school year when her son moved on to
Secondary school. Katherine provided a handover to Natalie and Pippa in August. We can’t thank her enough for her hard work and dedication to the committee.
Following the handover the team identified several potential areas of process improvements. Work has already started and in some cases been implemented with more exciting details to follow in the 2024/25 report!
The race night was originally planned to be held over the summer, but was postponed until October to give the team more time to advertise and prepare for the event. £145.00 income was received in relation to sponsorships. All other income and expenses will be included in the 2024/25 accounts.
We would like to express our gratitude to everyone – parents/carers, teachers, friends and families for all their work, support, help and generosity throughout the year.
The provisional profit for the Autumn 2024/25 term is over £5,000.00. This is a fantastic start to the year!
NB: Mr Wilson will independently review the 2023/24 accounts in the coming weeks and once agreed will be finalised.
