TO BE APPROPRIATED AND USED IN PERPETUITY AS A VILLAGE HALL READING ROOM CLUB AND BUILDINGS FOR ANY PURPOSES TENDING TO THE AMUSEMENT RECREATION INSTRUCTION OR BENEFIT OF THE INHABITANTS AND RESIDENTS WITHIN THE PARISH OF NINFIELD. Summary of the objects of tho charity set out in its governing document CONVEYANCE DATED 28TH FEBRUARY 1921 AS AMENDED BY RESOLUTION DATED 11 APR 2022 Main activities are usè of the Hall for meetings, lectures, and classes or other forms of recreation and leisure time occupation in the interesls of social welfare and with the object of improving the social conditions of the life of the inhabitants. The Trustees consider these objectives to be consistent with Charity Commission guidance on providing for the public benefit of the Hall as showing in the list of activities pursued this year. The Hall's committee continues to explore more economic and dynamic ways to run the Hall, with the aim to reduce costs going fomard. The trustees are committed to keeping the Hall in gcM)d repair and to manage any unforeseen circumstances should they arrive. The objeclive for 2025 is to prepare a schedule of ongoing repairs to inform the revised reserves policy and estsblish a ffinancial budget. Section D Achievements and performance The recently installed kntchen now provides the facility for larger caterin9 opportunities such as lunches, aftemoon teas, suppers alongside popular quiz nights and other Hall events. Three members of the committee gained their health and hygiene ￿rtifi￿te$ to help facilitate these adivities. Summary of the main achlevemenls of the charlty during tho year The toilets, upstairs room and overall upgrade of the entrance hall have encouraged parties for all age groups to book the Hall, and large weddings have enjoyed the benefit of the full weekend hire. The interior of the Hall was decorated in the summer of 2024. The Hall's storage is used to capacity and the Committee is investigating the installation of new storage sheds outside of the Hall. The Management Committee are aware of the seasonal aspect of some bookings and regularly re-evaluale the marketing of the Hall in new areas to promote its use, such as conferences, wedding fayres, antiques and collectables auctions, and will suggest aftemoon sessions during school holidays for children's parties or'summer schools.. The Hall provides a local venue for local charitable events, raising funds for Ninfield causes and benefitting local residents. It has been the venue for Ihe Health and Wellbeing Christmas Lunch, and for the Ninfield Village Gala Night and both events were very well attended with the Hall much admired in its p￿Sentation. The Memorial Hall has gained profile and regular revenue over the year and is ahyays endeavouring to keep ahead of the times. It has streamlined the bookings and accounting procedures. for example by utilising the invoicing functionality within the booking system Hallmaster, and become more digitally al￿ned, for example by launching a new website. Reviews from hirers have generally been very pjsitive - The Hall is seen to be a lovely, clean, bright venue, fit for purpose, excellent for parties and other ￿lebratiOn events. When the Hall is used for a themed event, and decorated throughout, tt takes on a new character which is often complimented. In addibon to all the Hall wliLies being updated. the Trustèes agreed a rolling rewew which will ensure future good govemance. The management ￿mmIttee requested and received an independent financial review on our accounts for the last four years-, this will be ongoing annual process. The Hall's accounting period was adjusted to run from the beginning of the calendar year to the end ofthe year to provide alignment with the annual hire tariff review periods and to provide additional simplification. The Hall has an updated and complete Fire and Safety review and a Fire Risk Assessment drawn up. Tha Trusteesl Management Committee of Ninfield Village Memorial Hall have. as volunteers, worked hard through the year, convened at regular meetings and helped to raise funds and the profile of the Hall. They have also dealt with many extra tssks and represented the Hall at local govemment meetings. TAR March 2012
