Tadworth and Walton Overseas Aid Trust Trustees Report for the year ended 30 September 2025 Trustees The Irusloes noted on page 1 all Se￿ed throughout the financial year. Structure Governance and Management Tadworth and Walton Overseas ￿'d Trust ITWOAT is a registered chafily, with charity number 286076 and r( is constiluled under its declaration of trust dated 19 October 1982 and deed of appointment dated 26 March 1985. The Charity's objectives are the relief of poverty in the developing world. Trustees Report for the year ended 30 September 2025 Unfortunatety thr3 year has been in many ways catastrophic for overseas aid. Not only have both the UK and US Governments cul back the monies they have previously provided to eradicate poverty and disease around the wodd, but many other Countries have also taken similar deCis￿n$. This is not surprising given the perceived need lo divert govemmenl spending both to re-armament and to dealing with the cost impacts of people migrating to the developed workl to escape from Wa￿oneS and repressive regimes. Paradoxi¢alty the 12 months up lo 30 September have provec* lo be the best financial year ever for TWOATS own fundraising with the totsl raised in excess of £52.DOO. The main reason for this was the one-off impact of two of our supporters very generously offering to double match fund the annual value of new standing orders ISOS) sel up by other supporters during 2023124. This matched funding was mainly paid lo us in this financial year a5 the final lolals depended on whether new SOS were activated right up to the end of Sept 2024. These one off payments added at least £10,000 to this year's total so we cannot assume that we will achieve the same again. The reason why we wanted to encourage more regular giving was because we have entered into a number of subslanlk41 ongoing commitments. The three largest commitments this year are to pay £8,300 10 Les Petits Saphirs School in Madagascar, al least £7,000 lo Emmanuel Primary School for refugee children on the Thai border with Myanmar and £6,000 to Mtandika Trade School a total of £21,300. This amount is probably more than half our current fundraising rale and there are 18 other very desetving projects, some also with commitments. Thanks lo our supporters, generosity fundraising activi(ies including our Annual Dinner, our Street Collection, the Bottle Stall, two John Allinson Memorial Sponsored Walks and several open garden events have held up remarkably well. We were especially grateful lo the four owners of the gardens who helpeol make these events possible. One of these benefactors sadly subsequently passed away bLrt their lamily generously donated the co15ection at the Memorial servi￿ to TWOAT. We have also been generousty supported with funds r8ised by two events in Kingswood Village Hall a Qur2 and an International Food Evening. We also benefitted from very generous donations from st Peter's Church in Watton and from Kingswo(Id Walton & Tadworth HortiCU￿ural Society. Sadly this year several supporters have passed away, most recenlty a previous committee membef who left us a generous bequest. This bequest of £5,000 was actually unexpectedly paid into our bank account during the final week of the financial year resutting in our surplus of income over support given lo projects being somewhat higher than we anticipated. Bequests are an important source of income for many charities and a lovely way lo be reminded of the generosity of previous supporters no longer with us. Report and Financ￿[ sl8lemenl$ 2025 Pag92of6
