Banwell Buddies AGM Committee Report Year 24-25
Unfortunately, due to personal circumstances the Chair resigned in September so is unable to deliver the report personally. On behalf of the Committee, I will deliver the report.
The first event that the Committee took on was a Christmas Market stall at a village event. This was something that the staff had historically organised and run so it was wonderful for the Committee to take on this role.
Staff, children and committee worked together to prepare items to sell at the Market and £145.15 was raised. Unfortunately, for this first event a small loss was made after expenses. However, most of the large expenses were for items that can be used by Buddies Committee’s for future fundraising. Left over produce was sold at preschool during the craft morning held by staff.
Thanks to the Committee an amazing donation of £250 was received from Quantum Manpower Services.
An Easter Egg Hunt was the next event organised by the Committee with the support of staff. This was held at Buddies and raised just over £100.
Carolyn and her husband Barry have been absolute stars taking on maintenance jobs around preschool. They have maintained the garden, erected a new gate and fence, cleared guttering, carried out skip runs and much more! Staff have been extremely grateful for this help.
Over the course of the year the Committee met several times to discuss fundraising events and wider issues such as sustainability, building requirements and finances.
