The performance for granl making, against a target will be reviewed at CLT Board meetings. In planning our activities for the year, we kept in rnind the Charity Comrnission'5 guidance on public benefit at our Iruslee meetings. Achlevemen15 and Performance.. Cornwall Leukaemia Trust continued lo support research and clinical work, by making a salary contribution lo the RCHT and giving grants I reimbursing Iravel costs lo pali&nls and their families lo support them through Irealmenl. During the year efforts have been made to increase the awarenes5 01 the charity both within the department and more widely through the website. The charity 15 continuing lo see a stable level of donations as a result. Grants made lo patients and their families have increased gnificant1Y during the year. The investment portfol has seen an increase in value again and provided another considerable gain in the year. Financial Review During the year the charity had nel expenditure of £50.415 {2023: £35,495), offset by gains on the inveslrnenl portfolio of £52,83912023.' £48.540} giving a nel Surplus for the year of £2.42412023". The reserves are held lo cover any future deficit arising and lo assist in financing the grant making aciivilies. alongside gifts and fund-raising.

Responsibilities and basis of report As the charity trustees of the Trust you are responsible lor the preparation ol the accounts in accordance with the requirements of the Charities Act 2011 Ilhe 'Acl'l. I report in respect of my examination of the Trust's accounts carried out under sèction 145 of the 2011 Act and in carrying out my examination I have lollowed all the Directions given by the Charity Commission undèr section 145151{bl of the Act. Independent examiner's statement I have completed my examination.
