The Comwall Leukaemia Trust was founded ￿ 1981 to
support pal¢ents {and their familles) with leukaemia and
other blood (elated illnesses.

Actlvltles and purposès:
To make grants lo patients with 18ukaemla and allied
haemalological {or blocl related) disorders and their
families in need. educational and developmental grants
lo staff ol the H?emalology Unil of Royal Comwall
Hospitals NHS Trust, lo support research projects
proposed and undertaken by the staff and any other
purpose designed to further Ihe workings of the Unil.
The performance for granl making, against a target will
be reviewed at CLT Board meetings.
The CLT may a150 coniribule lo fund a one-off major
project if. as a Irusl. we deemed it desirable in
furtherance ol our basic goals.
In planning our activities for the year, we kept in rnind
the Charity Comrnission'5 guidance on public benefit at
our Iruslee meetings.
Achlevemen15 and Performance..
Cornwall Leukaemia Trust continued lo support
research and clinical work, by making a salary
contribution lo the RCHT and giving grants I reimbursing
Iravel costs lo pali&nls and their families lo support them
through Irealmenl.
During the year efforts have been made to increase the
awarenes5 01 the charity both within the department and
more widely through the website.
The charity 15
continuing lo see a stable level of donations as a result.
Grants made lo patients and their families have
increased ￿gnificant1Y during the year. The investment
portfol￿ has seen an increase in value again and
provided another considerable gain in the year.
Financial Review
During the year the charity had nel expenditure of
£50.415 {2023: £35,495), offset by gains on the
inveslrnenl portfolio of £52,83912023.' £48.540} giving a
nel Surplus for the year of £2.42412023". E12.7451
Al 31 Decembef 2024 reserves Sto￿ al £828.522. The
reserves are held lo cover any future deficit arising and
lo assist in financing the grant making aciivilies.

£50,000 lo be reviewed thereafter annually, depending
on the level ol demand for grdnls and investment
tums.
The portfolio has had a wsrtive year due to the markets
Inc￿a$1ng. On 31¥ Oecember 2024 ihe investment
portfolio value was £797.C69 eompared lo a value last
year of £797,002.
The Trusvs Finance Committe8 has been active
monitoring the finanaal situatson and the Trusvs
investment managers have continued to advise when

I report lo the Iruslees on my examination ol the accounts of the Trust for the year ended 31
December 2024.
Responsibilities and basis of report
As the charity trustees of the Trust you are responsible lor the preparation ol the accounts in
accordance with the requirements of the Charities Act 2011 Ilhe 'Acl'l.
I report in respect of my examination of the Trust's accounts carried out under sèction 145 of the
2011 Act and in carrying out my examination I have lollowed all the Directions given by the Charity
Commission undèr section 145151{bl of the Act.
Independent examiner's statement
I have completed my examination. I confirm that no material matters have come lo my attention
in connection with my examination giving me cause lo believe Ihal in any material respect..

These accounis have been prepared in accordance with Accounting and Reporting by
Charities Sialement ol Recommended Practice ISORP 2019 FRS1021, the Financi81
Reporting Standard 102 and the Charities Act 2011.

Interest receivable and investment income are included in the Sialemenl of Financial
