Minutes for Friends of Coldfall Annual General Meeting for 2021-2022 7.30pm Thursday 29th September 2022, Coldfall School, and on Zoom

Present: Chair Heidi Cleary hosting with FoC secretary Flora Blackwood. Attendees (in person): Jojo Brook Smith, Amir Batito, Luiza Bachayeva, Amy Southwood, Rob Cory, Krishnaraj Chidambaram Vaidynathyn, Vertiy Coyle, Mustapa Ergun, Ted Lowery (Chair of Governors), Ewan Marshall (Headteacher), Roopa Makena, Katrina Goldband, Elliot Jacobs

Attendees (on zoom): Pamela Ramtohul, Keiron Mohudra, Patricija Gavele, D. Danisi, Areez Charania

Opening & Welcome:

Heidi welcomed all attendees to the AGM and Flora explained the relevant paperwork for the evening.

Agenda

1. Chair’s report 2021-2022

Heidi explained who Friends of Coldfall are and what we do to support Coldfall Primary School.

She then reviewed all the events that have taken place this year and shared how much we have raised at each one.

Heidi gave thanks to all the individuals, businesses and school staff who have helped make this year so successful. A special mention was given to committee members and volunteers, without whom our fundraising would not be possible. Details on how the school has spent money last year and how they might spend funds raised this year were shared with the group.

Verity Coyle provided the group with an update on the Sensory Garden project which will break ground in Feb 2023.

2. Treasurer’s Report 2021-2022

Details of the income and expenditure for all events were shared.

3. Approval of Minutes from Annual General Meeting 2020-2021

No questions were raised and the Treasurer’s report and Minutes from 20202021 were agreed.

4. Questions arising

Heidi outlined the plan for the year and provided explanations to events when requested.

5. Election of Committee members:

i. Committee members agreed to stay in role for 2022-23, no objections were raised.

6. Key roles that are vacant

Heidi highlighted that the roles Health and Safety Officer and Sponsorship Officer are both available. The role of Treasurer will also be from next year.

7. Thanks to outgoing committee members

Heidi thanked outgoing committee members who have made huge contributions to FoC. They are: Lindsay Dearden, Kate Vtorgina, Shwetha Jairam, Gillian Ehlers, Rebecca Smithson, Sally Loyez and Kellie Sloane.

8. Discussion and AOB

Ewan Marshall (Headteacher) paid tribute to everyone involved in FoC for their dedication to creating opportunities for our children which might not otherwise be available to them. He encouraged those not yet involved to join.

9. Date of next FoC meeting – Tuesday 18 October 8pm, location TBC
