Activities
The Stacey Community Centre is managed by the Stacey Community Association. We offer local community groups room hire for a wide range of activities including religious worship, dance, fitness, sport, training, first aid, choir, band practice, martial arts, as well as for private party hirers. We also manage an Ofsted registered accredited Forest School Early Years setting : The Stacey Pre-School.
Objects: The Objects Of The Association Are To:(a) Promote The Benefit Of The Inhabitants Of The City Of Portsmouth Particularly Of Those Areas Known As Milton And Copnor (Hereinafter Called “The Area Of Benefit”) Without Distinction Of Sex Or Of Political, Religious Or Other Opinions, By Associating Together The Said Inhabitants And The Local Authorities, Voluntary And Other Organisations In A Common Effort To Advance Education And To Provide Facilities In The Interests Of Social Welfare For Recreation And Leisure-Time Occupation With The Object Of Improving The Conditions Of Life For The Said Inhabitants;(b) Establish, Or Secure The Establishment Of, A Community Centre (Hereinafter Called “The Centre”) And To Maintain And Manage The Same (Whether Alone Or In Co-Operation With Any Local Authority Or Other Person Or Body) In Furtherance Of These Objects. 1. Name: The Name Of The Charity Is The Stacey Community Association, Formerly The Milton & Copnor Community Association (Hereinafter Called “The Association”)2.
