This aim has been met over the last year in very SUCssful conrtS which have attracted large aUdIenS arKI reiVed much critical acclaim. In December 2023 the sIety perfomed Ritter's Magnificat and Vaughan Williams Fantasia on Christmas Cards as well as carols for choir and audience. In April 2024. the choir performed Haydn's CTration. Soloists from the Royal Academy of Music were engaged for these concerts and we were aCCompand by a full orchestra. Feedback suggests that such events are highly valued for their contribution to local cultural life In addition to these ConrtS, the Society hosted a well evaluat1 and attended Come Sing Day in June 2024 when there was a focus on choruses from Handel's Mes&ah. In addth.on to choir members themselves, this Day attracted parts"cipants from across the locality. A range of social events, including, for example a Bnng and Share evening and annual dinner, yre hekl throughout the season and these events have add much to the wellbeing of the Society. BHCS contirnes to attract robust rnembefship figures and is led by a strong committee with a clear focus on the sound govemance of BHCS.
