West Hill Community Association Charity Registration No. 276387 Trustee's Annual Re ort 2024 The WHCA provides space for community activities by managing and maintaining West HILL Hall. We have regular hirers who provide a variety of fitness sessions includingyoga, pilates and pilates for those with MS. We provide subsidised space to vulnerable adults who attend sessions organized by other charitable organisations and exercise to music for the elderly. We also hire the Hall out for singing, fencing, creative writing sessions and theatre training. Every month the WHCA organises a community qulz to which all residents are welcome, and this provides a safe space for meeting new people. The WHCA also organises a family-friendLy Christmas social which brings together many members of the community. In line with our purpose to'advance education and to provide facilities in the interest of social welfare for recreation" we organise local historytalks to which all residents are welcome. The WHCA publishes"The Whistler" magazine, a free community paper, which is delivered to all the properties in the area with local news and reviews. At last year's AGM the trustees were voted to post by co-option of the existing Trustees. There were a number of projects undertaken to maintain and improve the Hallfacilities including the felling of a tree (with the necessary Council approvals), threateningthe building, re-pointingthe frontwall and continuingto clearing ivy and soiLfrom around the building.
