LEYTONSTONE ISLAMIC ASSOCIATION REPORT FOR THE YEAR ENDED 31 DECEMBER 2023 The trustees present their port and accounts for Ihe year ended 31 December 2023. The trustees would like to acknowledge the hard work and dedic3tion of Mr Ismail Shaikh, who sadly passe away on 25th May 2024. The accounts have been prepared in accordan wth the accounting policies set out in note 1 to the accounts and comply with the Constitution adopted 1 June 1977 as amended 6 July 1980, the CharitiesAct 2011 and the Slalem@nt ol R0MMended Practice ISORPI, "Accounting and Reporbng by Charrfcies" issued in March 2005. Strueture, governanee and management The charity was established by a Charitable Iwsl deed. The irustees have lh8 authority lo invest the charity funds. The administration of the chaiity is carried out by the trustees. No trustees received any remunerab.on from the charity during the yè8r, nor were they r8imbursed for any expenses incurred on behalf of the charity. The trustees have assessed the major risks to which th6 charity is exposed, and are satisf18d that systems are in place to mitigate exposure to the major risks. Oblectiv&s and activities The charity's objects are lo advan the religion of Islam and lo advan the education of Muslim children and adults in accordance with the tenants and doctrin@s of Islam. Th@ policies adopted in furtherance of these objects are provide buildings, facilities, open space, services. advocacy, advice and infomialion and there has been no change in these during the year. The trustees have paid due regard lo guidanGe issued by the Charity Commission in deryding what activities the charty should Ltndertake.
