REPORT
FOR THE YEAR ENDED 31 DECEMBER 2023
The trustees present their ￿port and accounts for Ihe year ended 31 December 2023.
The trustees would like to acknowledge the hard work and dedic3tion of Mr Ismail Shaikh, who sadly passe
away on 25th May 2024.
The accounts have been prepared in accordan￿ wth the accounting policies set out in note 1 to the accounts
and comply with the Constitution adopted 1 June 1977 as amended 6 July 1980, the CharitiesAct 2011 and the
Slalem@nt ol R￿0MMended Practice ISORPI, "Accounting and Reporbng by Charrfcies" issued in March 2005.
Strueture, governanee and management
The charity was established by a Charitable Iwsl deed.

The tharity have kne authority lo appoint new trustees as the need arises. A new trustee would receive copies of
the previous yearf5Annual Report and Accounts and a copy of the Charity Commissioner's leafiet"The Essential
Trustee- What you need lo knoW'.
The irustees have lh8 authority lo invest the charity funds. The administration of the chaiity is carried out by the
trustees. No trustees received any remunerab.on from the charity during the yè8r, nor were they r8imbursed for
any expenses incurred on behalf of the charity.
The trustees have assessed the major risks to which th6 charity is exposed, and are satisf18d that systems are in
place to mitigate exposure to the major risks.
Oblectiv&s and activities
The charity's objects are lo advan￿ the religion of Islam and lo advan￿ the education of Muslim children and
adults in accordance with the tenants and doctrin@s of Islam. Th@ policies adopted in furtherance of these objects
are provide buildings, facilities, open space, services. advocacy, advice and infomialion and there has been no
change in these during the year.
The trustees have paid due regard lo guidanGe issued by the Charity Commission in deryding what activities the
charty should Ltndertake.
Aehievements and performance
Efforts are continuing lo provide more streamlinéd Islamic éducational, nikah and funeml facilitiès to worshlppers
and their families,

Statement of rosponslbllltles
The trustees are responsible for preparing the Report and the accounts in accordanco With applicable law and
Untted Kingdom Accounting Standards (United Kingdom GenerallyAccepled Accounting Practice).
The law applicable lo charib'es in England and Wales requires the trustees to prepare accounts for each financial
year which give a true and fair view ol the stsle of affairs of the charity and of the incoming resources an
8pplicalion of resourees of the charity for that year.
In preparing these accounts, the trustee$ are required to..

observe the methods and principles in the Charities SORP.,
make judgements and estimates that a￿ reasonable and prudent-
state whether applicable accounting standards have been followed, subject to any material departures

continue in operation.
The trustees are responsible for k6eping sufficient accounting records that disdose with reasonable accuracy at
any time the financial position of the charity and enable them lo ensure that the accounts cornply with the
Charities Act 2011, the Charity (Accounts and Reports) Regulations 2008 and the provisions of the trust deed.
They are also responsible for safeguarding the assets of the charity and hence for taking r8asonabl8 steps for
the prevention and dele¢lion of fraud and other irregularities.

The charity's trustees are responsible for the preparation of the accounts. The chaiity'5 trustees consider that an
audit is not rejquired for this year under section 144{21 of the Charities Ael 2011 Ilhe 2011 Acll and that an
independent èxamination is needed.

1.1 Basls of preparatlon
The accounts have been prepared under thè historical cost convention.
The accounts have been prep8red in accordancè with applicable accounting standards, the Statement of
Recommended Practice ISORPI, Accounting and Reporting by Charities" issued in March 2005 and the
CharitiesAct 2011.
1.2 Incomlng resources
Donations and other income are accounted for in the year Sn which they are receivable and generally 4￿rual
accounting has been employed.
Cash donations are recognised on receipt. Income lax recoverable in relation lo donations received under
Gift Aid or deeds of covenant is recognised al the ￿me of the donation.
1.3 Resources expended
Liabilities are recognised a$ expenditure as soon as there is a legal or constwclive obligation ¢ommitting the
charity lo that expenditure, il is probable that a transfer of economic benefits will be required in settlement
and the amount of the obligation can be measured reliably. Expenditure 18 accounted for on an a￿rual3 basis
and has been dassified under headings that aggregate all cost related to the category. Vvhere costs Cannot
be directly attributeed lo particular headings they have been allocateif lo ￿tI¥￿ie$ on a basis consistent with
the use of resources.

commitsment bul not accrued as expenditure.
