Throughout the period the trustees have focused on phase 2 of the restoration of the hall.

This was undertaken with regard to the Charity Commission’s guidance on public benefit.

Summary of the main activities undertaken for the public benefit in relation to these objects (include within this section the statutory declaration that trustees have had regard to the guidance issued by the Charity Commission on public benefit)

The presence of asbestos was detected in the fabric of the hall and it was necessary to remove this in order for it to be possible to continue to use the hall. The trustees decided that this was a good opportunity to carry out a complete refurbishment of the hall to ensure it is able to be used by future generations.

The management committee authorised the setting up of a separate restoration project team to raise funds and manage the project. Members include three trustees and a Parish Councillor.
