Summary of the objects of the charity set out in its governing document GirlguidTng Fleet, in accordance with our National Organisation. builds girls, confidence and raises their aspirations. We give them the chance to discover their full potential and encourage them to be a powerful force for good. We glve them a space to have fun. Girlguiding Fleet has ulertaken a range of activities throughout the year. These have included regularly weekly tneeting5 for girls in all sections of Guiding where outd(x)r skills. arts and crafts, seryice projects, residential experiences and personal challenges have been achieved. These have been completed through a blended delivery of face-to-face meetings (indrS and outdoors) and online via vlrtual platforms, in line with Government SdanCe during the COVID-19 crisis. Summary of the main artivities undertaken for the public benefit in relation to these objects (include within this section the statutory declaration that trustees have had regard to the guidance issued by the Charity Commission on public benefit Girlguiding Fleet rents its hall to Girlguidin£ groups for Girlguiding artiwties, and to the local Community. Governance of the Division has been achieved through regular meetings with the Trustees where due regard has been taken of our policies and financial responsibly. Section D Achievements and performance Sutnmary of the main achievements of the charity during the year Thi5 year, our organisation has had to adapt how Guiding could be delivered due to the restrictions imposed by COVID-19. Members have acce55ed Guiding actiwties through face-to-face meetings. when allowed, and through emails and virtual platforms such as Zoom. The range of activities at local group level continues to be based on the Girlguiding programme. with leaders creatively adapting it to ensure all girls, regardless of background and indiwdual needs, contTnue to get a broad arKI varTed set of activities that challenge and motivate them. During the first half of the year, following the restrictions put on these by COVID-19. many units participated in virtual sleepovers. However, during the second half of the year, several units were able to hold successful Tn person residential5. Alongside this, members have continued to achieve personal goals. Young members have achieved qualrfications relevant to their age group Duke of Edinburgh Awards and section Gold Awards. In addition, our leaders have extended their own knowledge and qualificalions in order to offer the girls ever greater opportunits'es in new and innovative ways. These have included leadership qualifications. residential qualifications, First Aid qualtfications and Safeguarding training. As a result of COWD-19, our membership fell during 2020 by around 10% but we are pleased to report that they have returned to "normal" levels post Covid. Fleet Division Guide Hall is a community building used by members of Girlguiding for unit meetings and residentiais. It is also used by several community groups inc11ng Fleet U3A and Brendoncare Clubs. The Management Committee of the Hall worked hard to make the Hall -COVID safe" and was able to open Tt up to Users (when permitted by the Government). Page2of3

Fleet Division Guide Hall. as a Community Hall received several grants from the Government during the year as part of the various COVID-19 support schemes. This money will be used to Tmprove ventilation at the hall and to install a PVC canopy in the grounds so that more activities can be undertaken (xjt of dwrs. A provision of £25,000 has been set aside to cover these works. In addition, an amwnt of £2,750 is held in DivisTon Accounts in relation to units which have closed. In line WTth Girlguiding UK policy, these funds have been held for ¢J)e year in case the unit re-opens and will now be used to fund a Divisi(m event.
