Our Club is one of 37 independent Clubs affiliated to the Devon
Federation of Young Farmers Club–Charity number 1098759.
Charity fundraising - £5,000 has been raised for the Devon Air
Ambulance and FCN with the money being jointly split between the
two charities.
This has been many activities that the club members have taken part
in this year from entertainments, stock judging, sports, other social
meetings, and organising events to raise money for charity.
This includes a blind drop, 2 discos and doing event bars to raise
money.
The Club confirms that it has referred to the guidance contained in
the Charity Commissions general guidance on public benefit when
reviewing its aims and objectives and in planning future activities.
On average the Club has monthly meetings in the local village halls as
well as a monthly social meeting. This is in addition to a very full
program of everything from speaking competitions, sport competitions
and varied social activities catering for a wide range of members as well
as going to the county final for entertainments and supporting a member
who came 2ndin the county round of senior member of the year.
Our year was completed with a charity auction prior to AGM which for
accounting purposes falls in the next financial year. At AGM we had the
opportunity to thank the members, advisory and parents for their help
and to congratulate the members by presenting the Club Trophies.
We also made donations to our chosen Charities FCN of £7,500 and
Devon Air Ambulance £7,500 however £10,000 relates to the
proceeds raised at the charity auction.
