OUTGOING CLUB CHAIRMAN REPORT:

Successful ball on Saturday, everyone enjoyed the evening, and a lot of fun was had by all.

Ongar has had a good year, started off with our harvest supper for the subscribers and the fireworks evening was successful, and recycling has done well.

Our ski party had a good turnout and went well. Thank you to Albert for hosting.

Club did very well in the disco dancing competitions and won at nationals.

Public speaking also went to nationals and came 8[th] .

Subscriber events – Harvest supper, Christmas drinks and end of year BBQ. Aiming to increase the number of subscribers for the next year.

A massive thank you to our Club President David Kerr for all of his help and support thought the year.

TREASURY REPORT:

Donation of £545 for Christmas trees

Current account £ 25,083.40 – There are still invoices to be paid from the ball so this will go down.

Savings: £6026.77

Membership - £2568.00

Recycling: £1365.00

Charity - £4500 – we will hopefully hit £5000 once we have deposits for glassware, sponsorship and a couple of table payments back, this will then be split 50/50 between both of our charities (Maggie’s and Essex Air Ambulance)

Charity auction at the ball did well, we did sell three and a half days of Ongar working.

UPDATES FROM COUNTY:

Updates from Lucy Hitchcock:

Harvest festival on Sunday at Chelmsford Cathedral. Arrive at 3:30pm, Open for anyone to go to.

Training and development hub at county – explained how training can be funded for young farmers.

Tuesday 15[th] October – chairs, vice, secretaries etc training evening.
