SomeofthehighlightsexperiencedbytheBeavers includedavisitfroma
police snifferdog,atrip totheDuxfordAirMuseum andananimal
experiencethemedsleepover.TheCubs volunteeredtohelp clean the
local church, theywerealso abletocanoe ontheRiver Cam andvisita
local indoor climbing centre.The Scoutshas their first tripto anice-
skatingrink,theyheldaScoutsGotTalentevent and learnt about
hedgehogconservation.Howevertheirmajor project duringtheyear was
theconstruction of thewonderfulcampfire furniturefrompalletswhich,for
many, contributed to theirTeamworkChallenge badge..
Duringthesummer term all sectionswereabletohold overnight camps
again.Both Beaverpackshad a sleepoveratthehut,the Cubpacksheld
ajointcamp at Skreens Scout centre andtheScouts held a campand
hikeinthelocal vicinity.
JavelinsCubs raised8240for comicrelief; they were sponsored to
construct an obstacle coursewhichenabled themtoholdawhole
eveningmeetingwithoutstepping onthemeeting room floor.
IntheSpringtheGroupassistedRussellSmithsFarmstoplant7000
treesattheSouth CambridgeWaterPark.
