RH2 OLR Trustees: The trustees as at the AGM held on 11 November 2024 and at the date ofthis report are: Emma Simp50n Ico-chairl Danielle Eades Ico-chairl Rachel Taton {Secretaryl Lauren Dunn ITreasurerl Objectlves and activitie5: The objective of the Friends of Wray Common School I"FoWC"l is to advance the education of the pupils at the 5¢hool by providing and assisting in the provision of facilities for education at the schools not normally provided by the local education authority. The FOWC foster extended relationships between staff, parents and others associated with the school and engage in activities which sUPPOrt the school and advance the education of the pupils attending it. The FOWC engage in activities such as fundraising, Social funrtions and school events. The Trustees keep in mind the Charity Commission's guidance on public benefit in planning activities for the year. Surplus fund5 are generally used for the benefit of the school in response to funding requests from the school. The FOWC is entirely dependent on volunteers. The Trustees would like to thank all the volunteers who have helped in any way throughout the year as well as all the parents. carers, children and their extended families who have supported and attended events. Thls contribution allow us to pass vital funds to the school. Achievements and performance: Fundraising The FOWC have generated a surplus of £19.818 before donations during the year. The fundraisers included.. Fireworks Winter Wonderland Christmas Trees Elfridges Someone special sales Easter disco Ice pop sales Wrayfest Donatlons to the school The FOWC were pleased to contribute £29,996 to the school to enhance learnin8 and facilities. This included:
Projector Home leaf ning journals Nature hub Laptops Swimming pool refurbishment Sandpits Summer curiosltytopic Football goals and gym mats Donation5 were increased this year due to the donation made for the refurbishment of the school swimming pool for which a verbal commitment was made during the year ended 31 August 2023. Flnanclal review: At the end of the year there were total reserves of £19,847 held as cash at bank and in hand. It wa5 decided at the Trustees meeting held in January 2023 that a set reserve of £8k is to be held at all times in order to cover one year essential costs. Given the strong financial position and ongoing support of the parent body, the Trustees are confident that the charity continues to be a going concern. Strurture, governance and management: The FOWC is an unincorporated charity governed by its constitution. Trustees are nominated and elerted by the members at the AGM annually. Declaration..
