The trustees confirm they have complied with the duty in section 17 of the Charities Act 2011 to have due regard to the public benefit guidance published by the Charity Commission. The trustees have referred to the guidance contained in the Charity Commission’s general guidance on public benefit when reviewing the trust’s aims and objectives and in setting the grant making policy for the year.
Summary of the main activities undertaken for the public benefit in relation to these objects (include within this section the statutory declaration that trustees have had regard to the guidance issued by the Charity Commission on public benefit)
The Trust has continued to meet the wishes of its benefactor, Mrs Gillian Page, as set out in the Trust document 1974 (amended 1975), inasmuch as it has continued to provide education in dance and drama. Due to financial constraints, only one additional bursary could be offered.
After receipt of an initial payment of £160,000.00 from Mrs. Page’s estate, the Trustees have been able to develop the Trust further, in terms of essential maintenance work on the property, and conversion of the first floor into two self-contained flats. This is work in progress but, once completed, rental income can be expected to cover annual running costs of the property, thus rendering the Trust more self-sustainable in the future.
The Trustees were all personally selected by Mrs Page, and have very long-standing associations with the Dance School/Trust.

You may choose to include further statements, where relevant, about:
