Management: The Village Hall is managed by a small team of volunteers from the two villages. Members are recruited as and when needed by advertising in the parish magazine and on the local Facebook page along with word of mouth. The committee is subdivided into various sub committees for events, garden maintenance and bar.
Objectives: Our objectives are to operate the Village Hall for the benefit of the
community and to maintain and improve the building and grounds.
Achievements and Performance: Since reopening the Hall is now in regular use by community groups and other hirers. In this period we hosted our first two wedding parties and in the coming year there are 6 weddings booked. Kids parties remain a staple for weekend hirings with one almost every weekend.
We have started refurbishment of the small hall with wooden panelling being installed as the first stage. We are researching having solar panels fitted to the roof to reduce our expenditure on power and reduce our carbon footprint.
Finance: Our finances are in good shape and we are lucky that our electrical supply is on a fixed tariff until 2024. At the end of this period our available funds were £14105
