The AKF(UK) is an affiliate of the International Aga Khan Foundation and part of the Aga Khan Development Network (AKDN).The principal activity of the Charity is to promote and provide for the advancement of education, health, rural development, the environment and support to civil society organisations for the public benefit.
Objects: 1. To Assist In The Advancement Of Education Throughout The World By The Creation And Support Of Primary, Secondary, Technical And Professional Schools And Universities And By The Award Of Grants To Students Throughout The World For The Purpose Of Study Of Education. 2. To Create And Support Orphanages, Research And The Publication Of The Useful Results Thereof And Religious Centres Throughout The World, And In Particular To Provide Facilities For Study, Accommodation And Religious Worship.
