Summary of the purposes of the The objects of the Charity are to hold the Village Hall upon
charity as set out in its governing trust for the purposes of a village hall for the use of the
document inhabitants of the Parish of Weston on the Green in the
County of Oxford without distinction of political, religious or
other opinions including use for meetings, lectures and
classes and for other forms of recreation and leisure-time
occupation, with the object of improving the condition of
life for the said inhabitants.
Summary of the main activities in The Village Hall is hired by individuals (social gatherings,
relation to those purposes for the children’s parties, wakes), village groups (Coffee
public benefit, in particular, the Mornings, Golden Leaves lunches, Art&Crafts, PCC, WI,
activities, projects or services Garden Club, Parish Council, PCC, WI, etc.) and
identified in the accounts. commercially (e.g. Danceforce, Thames Valley Police,
Elections etc.). The Trustees also organise social and
fund-raising events (e.g. national celebrations, televised
sports events, Summer Barbeque, Bonfire&Fireworks,
Xmas Lights, Film Nights, Quiz Nights, Gin Night).

Reserves are held to cover short term commitments (costs incurred in operating the hall on a day-to-day basis) and long-term commitments (building maintenance and refurbishment and renewal). The Village Hall keeps funds in the CCLA COIF Charities Investment Fund as well as bank current and savings accounts. |

At each general meeting one third of the Trustees shall retire from office in rotation, longest in office since appointment, but may be re-appointed by vote of the inhabitants of Weston on the Green present in person at the meeting. |
