ST. PEGA’S CHURCH, PEAKIRK

APCM REPORT ON CHURCH YEAR ACTIVITIES - JANUARY 2023 T0 31[ST] DECEMBER 2023

CHURCH SERVICES DURING THE VACANCY

Our main achievement has been to keep the church running smoothly until September 2023 when Reverend Keir Dow was installed. Our Reader Derek has taken all of our church services each month since we have been in a vacancy, apart from Holy Communion which was usually taken by Reverend George, and we can’t thank Derek enough for his help, support and dedication, and also from his wife Jane.

CHURCH EVENTS THROUGHOUT THE YEAR 2023

Christmas Day Benefice Holy Communion Service was held at St. Pegas and led by Rev’d Keir.

BELL RINGING GROUP – They still meet regularly to practice and the bells can often be heard ringing out in Peakirk before the Sunday morning services. A big thank you to them all.

FOOD BANK – People are still being very generous and we are making regular trips to the Food Bank in Deeping.

A busy year for all in the church and our thanks go to our wonderful team of helpers who support the church, both from St. Pega’s and also many village residents. Our grateful thanks to the Village Hall Committee for allowing the Church free use of the Village Hall during the past year for holding our fund-raising events.
