In addition to the committee, we have a group of approx 40 “Helping Hands”, who assist and help with events, maintenance, grass cutting.

Section D Achievements and performance
Summary of the main achievements of the charity during the year
After successful local fundraising and grants ( Viridor & ACRE), the main hall was upgraded in phase 1, including 3phase electricity supply, rewiring of the hall, installation of new storage heaters, WiFi, tanking and insulation of walls and loft, restoration of wood flooring, new wood panelling, new curtains and removal of septic tank and access to mains drainage. The project was completed on time and on budget during lockdown. The hall re-opened in August and is well used again.

The trustees have a policy that £6000 is always kept as a reserve, to cover outgoing for one year such as insurance, maintenance, electricity, water, in case of unexpected hall closure. At present funds are higher, due to fundraising for phase 2, the update of the backstage areas.
