The UNA Trust works closely with UNA-UK (charity registrations number 1146016) whose objectives are identical to the UNA Trust. UNA Trust makes grants in accordance with its objectives to support the efforts of the United Nations to relieve world poverty, hunger or distress, and to promote the study of international problems and institutions.
Objects: (i) The Furtherance Of Such Purposes As For The Time Being And From Time Totime Are Charitable In Accordance With Law Of England And Wales As Thetrustees May From Time To Time In Their Absolute Discretion Determine(ii) Without Prejudice To The Generality Of The Foregoing Such Monies May Beapplied In Any Part Of The World In Furtherance Of Any Of The Followingpurposes Provided That No Monies Shall Be Applied For Any Purposewhich Is Not By Law Charitable As Aforesaid.(a) The Prevention And Relief Of Poverty, Hunger And Distress And Therelief Of Those In Need By Reason Of Youth, Age, Ill-Health, Disability,financial Hardship Or Other Disadvantage(b) The Advancement Of Human Rights, Conflict Resolution Andreconciliation And The Promotion Of Religious Or Racial Harmony Orequality And Diversity(c) The Raising Of Awareness Of Human Rights Issues And Securing Theenforcement Of Human Rights Law(d) The Advancement Of The Study Of And Research Into Internationalproblems And Institutions With A View To The Education Of The Publicand The Dissemination Of The Results Of Such Study And Research Forthe Purpose Of Assisting Such Relief As Aforesaid(e) The Advancement Of Environmental Protection Improvement Andsustainable Development(f) The Promotion Of Volunteering And Good Citizenship(g) The Support Generally Within The Powers Hereby Conferred Of The Workof The United Nations Organisation Or Of Any Of Its Related Associateagencies Insofar As Such Work Promotes All Or Any Of The Objectsmentioned In (a) To (f) Above
