The Manchester YMCA operates a sports and fitness centre (The Y Club) in Manchester city centre. It also operates a subsidiary company, Castlefield Hotel Limited. Manchester YMCA aims to build strong families and strong communities through programmes aimed at self development and personal growth.

Objects2.1 The objects for which the Association is established are:-2.1.1 To encourage young people to lead a life based on Christian principles.2.1.2 To set and maintain high standards in social and moral behaviour.2.1.3 To provide for the spiritual cultural, intellectual, physical and social needs of its members.2.1.4 To provide or assist in the provision, in the interests of social welfare, of facilities for recreation and other leisure time occupation for men and women with the object of improving their conditions of life.2.1.5 To provide or assist in the provision of education for people of all ages and in particular young people, with the object of developing their physical, mental or spiritual capacities;
