Grants have been made to those families who are facing adversity through the holiday schem8 AFIA{Away From It All). Local schools have been supported financially with grants for outings to those pupils unable to afford the cost and sanitary packs have been distributed for girls in the final year of primary school. The members of Mothers, Union visit the prisoners in Low Newton prlson wlth regular worship and support at Christmas time. The charity raises awareness of domestic violence with its ongoing campaign RISE UP. This is supplemented with practical support for the many Womens, Refuges within the Diocese.
