Object of the charity (1) The object of the charity is the relief of persons resident in the area of benefit who are in need, hardship or distress. Following a difficult period when the legitimacy of the charity was challenged and the trust was unable to fulfil its objects, its charitable status has now been confirmed and income which was due has now been transferred to the charity. The trustees are in touch with the parish, via specific organisations and village magazines, in order to determine residents/organisations who are in need and can benefit from awards from the charity.
