Object of the charity (1) The object of the charity is the relief of persons resident in the area of benefit who are in need, hardship or distress. Following a difficult period when the legitimacy of the charity was challenged and the trust was unable to fulfil its objects, its charitable status has now been confirmed and income which was due has now been transferred to the charity.
