Trustees have had regard to the guidance issued by the Charity Commission on Public Benefit. The groups using the building contribute to the physical, mental, and social health of people of all ages from the local area. The Hall is currently used by the following local groups: Weekly/twice weekly - Keep fit class, Zumba Dance Fit class, Yoga class, Ballroom Dance group, Karate club, Brownies troop, Ballet classes, Baby and Toddler sensory classes, and the Youth Club Summary of the main activities undertaken for the public benefit in relation to these objects (include within this section the statutory declaration that trustees have had regard to the guidance issued by the Charity Commission on public benefit) Fortnightly - Over-50s Coffee Morning, Age Connect Nails Service, Thursday Handcraft group Monthly: Women's Institute, Mothers, Union and 2 gardening societies. Section D Achievements and performance The Williams Memorial Hall remains an important part of village life with over 450 attendees of all ages using the building in a full week. Summary of the main achievements of the charity during the year New groups for Yoga and Handcrafts have started during 2024-25. The Yoga group meet weekly and the Handcrafts group meet fortnightly. The charity has a "Friends of the Williams Memorial Hall" fundraising group which has put on various events through the year to supplement the Trust's funds. This year they have raised £2,381 for the building fund. TAR March 2025
