The Charity continues to fund the lace-lo-face Communily Money Advice debt advice service provided by Failhworks Wessex through the Christchurch Foodbank+ (Grant.. £18,370) The Charity continues lo assisl the Faithworks Wessex Chrisl¢hurGh Home Equip Furniture Project operated through the Christchurch F¢>xlbank+ wilh 50% 01 its funding. (Grant.. £6,000>. The Project provides household goods and fumilure lo those in need. Not only doe5 this provide essential goods lo those who could not otherwise afford Ihem, bul also triggers, in addition lo items purchased, further goods donated or otherwise obtained withoul cost to the Project. Contact with the families enables Christchurch Foodbank+ lo identify i55ue5 within households requiring further inpul and support. The Home-equip PToiect benefilled 185 homes. a lolal of 241 adults and 315 children in 2024. The Hardship Scheme establish by the Charity during the pandemic is administered by two local charities, Failhworks Wessex through Chrislchurch Foodbank+ and the Christchurch Community Partnership. Although the lolal cost in grant aid was only £466, il is an example of how a small amount given quickly and wilhoul luss can make such an enormous difference lo a person's Iile. Financial Review The Charity was able lo increase substantially it's grant aid compared with previous years as a result of increased income following the sale of land al Barrack Road la51 year. Expenditure of the Charity exceeded income by £21.278 during the ¢urrenl year. The Charity ended the year with a ¢10sing vnreslri¢led cash balance of £73.539. This is considered 5uffioent lo fund ongoing activities. Furthemiore. the Charily has subslanlial non-permanenl endowmenl fund of £580.498 thal Can be called sjpon if appropriate. Additionally, the Chafily holds 8 peimanenl endowment fund of £2,754,221.
