Th¢ Charity w&$ amalgamated with a number of Small ¢xtin¢t charities and on 15th March 1974 the Charity Commission i&su¢d a Scheme of Attangcment under which the Charity cutTetrtty op¢rat¢s. The principal activities of the Chartties remain unchanged. The Trustees apply the yearly income of thc Charities in r¢lieving either gener311y or individually peT50ns who are in u)nditions of nesl hardship or distress and resident in the City and County of Bristol. Respective responsibilities of trusteu and examiner The charities, Trustees are responsible for the pr¢porntion of th¢ ac¢ounts. The charities. Tnjstees onsid¢r that an audit is Dot Tequired under section 144(2) of the Charities Act 2011 and that an independent examination is needtxi. It is my resw)nsibility to: examine the acwunts under section 145 of the Charttie5 Act 2011 to follow the pr(Kedures laid down in the General Directions given by the Charity Commi55ioner5 under section 145(5Xb) of the 2011 Act; and to state whether particular matters have come to my attention. Basis of independent examiner's report My examination was carried out in accordancc wtth the G¢ncral Dircctions given by the Charity Commissioners. An examination includes a ￿vieW of th¢ kccowiting records kept by the charities and a comparison of the accounts p￿sented with those records. It also includes consid¢ration of any unusual items or disclosure5 in the accounty and seeking explanations from you as trustees concerning any such matters.
