The object of the charity is twofold- firstly to provide relief in need generally or individually to persons resident in the parish of Ilchester and secondly in the promotion of education of persons resident in the parish of Ilchester. Persons living in places other than Ilchester will not be considered.

Objects: 1. In Relieving Either Generally Or Individually Persons Resident In The Parish Of Ilchester Who Are In Conditions Of Need, Hardship And Distress By Making Grants Of Money Or Providing Or Paying For Their Services Or Facilities Calculated To Reduce The Need, Hardship And Distress Of Such Persons Preference To Be Given To Men Who Are Not Less Than 50 Years Of Age. 2.
