off3000.Tothe Royal Air
Forces Association Wings Appeal. This consisted ofmonies raised,

up with money from our Branch accounts. Several Wings
events had been cancelled due to the death ofour Patron
HM Queen
Elizabeth 11.
Approximately

and repair ofthe
main building,
the rear ofthe building
being
in a poor state ofrepair.
Major repairs
including
new guttering
have been undertaken
and a
new paint finish applied, thus looking after the RAFA,sassets.
Repairs we also needed
in the bathroom
ofthe first floor flat, replacing
the damaged
plaster and ceiling caused by previous water ingress.
Additional
improvements
have been carried out to the front entrance
and new hand rails have been fitted to the top half ofthe entrance
drive to give better access to the older and disabled
patrons
using the
club.
The Veterans
lunch held on the second Wednesday
ofeach month
continue to be popular,
helping veterans of all services and also
widows ofex- servicemen.
There is a definite welfare benefit through
offering this service to those who need it.
