Activities

We look after 6 almshouses which are primarily available to people over 55 years of age who live within the four parishes surrounding Grayrigg or who have a connection with those parishes. In exceptional circumstances the almshouses are available to people who live outside the area of benefit and who have no connection with the parishes.

Objects: A) The Provision Of Housing Accommodation For Persons Over The Age Of 55 Resident In The Area Of Benefit, Preference Being Given To Persons Living In The Chapelry Of Grayrigg;b) Such Charitable Purposes For The Benefit Of The Residents As The Trustees Decide.2) In Exceptional Cases The Trustees May Allow To Occupy An Almshouse Of The Charity, Someone ( Who Is Otherwise Qualified) Who Is Under The Age Of 55. 3) The Land Identified In Part 1 Of The Schedule To This Scheme Must Be Retained By The Trustees For Use For The Objects Of The Charity.
