REFERENCE AND ADMINISTRATIVE INFORMATION The Charity is regulated by a Scheme ol the Charity Comrnissioners dated 13 March 1913, as amended by a subsequent scheme dated 28 January 2008 with the registration number 215087. On 28 January 2008. by virtue of a Charity Commission scheme, the net assets of Bethn81 Green Philanthropic Pension Society (Charity R8915tralior¥ No. 2769451 wgr8 merged with those of the charity. Under a uniting direction issued on 30 July 2005, Parmiterfs rnsho$e and Pension Charity Limited Icompany reglstration number 48622311, which was incorporated on 11 August 2003, wa5 linked with the charity under Section 96151 of the Charitie5 Act 1993. The company will remain 5eparat8 and legally distinct but is registered with the Charity Commission under the same charity règistfatlon number. The company acts as corporate trustee and also owns and mana98S the Alrnshou5es. Day-to-day management of the almshouses was transferred to The Trust Partnership in October 2020, having previously been managed by Colne Housing Society Limited. Report for the year ended 31 March 2025 ACHIEVEMENTS AND PERFORMANCE The Charity originally had Almshouw in B8thnal Gfeen which were destroyed by enemy action during the course of the Second Vvorfd War. Trustees hoped to build new Almshouses in Belhnal Green lo rgplace the ones lost and while they pursued various development proje¢t$, unfortunately it was not possible to Bchieve this aim. Hawng looked at 3 site8 outsidg of Bethnal GTeen Ihe Company purchased 6 bung81ows on a naw dèv61M8nt in Clacton on Sea, Essex in Septemberloctober 2010 and designated these as their ngw Almshousas. The Almshouses were purchased by means of 8 transfer of funds trom the Parmiter's Almshouse & Pension Charity. The Trust Partnership now manages all aspects of repairs and maint8nanca, including the relevant health and safety checks and overseeing the welfare of thè residents. The Trustees continue to regularfy review their financial position and in particular their investments. They have investigated opportunities for the purchase of some additional Asmshouses, and considered a partnership wth another almshouse charity, bul they have not yet found a suitabl8 option. They hove currently decided to pause acquiring additional almshoLJse5 due to a eoncem atx)ut the affordability of rising costs for maintaining and Managing property,. lo rneet health and $8f&ty regulatlons and their impact on the work the Charity dogs to support Pensioners in B9thnal Green and to tackle social isdatson. Trustees organize and deliv8r social events for thè pensioner beneficiaries in Bethnal Gen as well a$ the annual to the alfflshou5e residents. The iCe-yeartY pension payments have continued to be distributed. Pensioners unable to attend eventg receive a hamper either al Christmas or Eid. The trustees keep the number of p8nsion8rs on thè roll under regular review And they are currently recruiting more pènsloners as numbers have reduced. The advertisement has been cirwlated lo a broad range of organisations and through social media to ensure all the communitie8 in their area of ben8fit arts aware of the Charity and have the opportLJnity to rnakg an applieAtion.
