The Cottages are allocated to men or 'id0¥S of men who have served as members of the anned forces of the Crow'n with preferenc¢ being gi.en to m¢n or 'idoii.'s of men 'hO hal'e serN'ed on active service: who reside or ii'ere resident in the area of benetit (Hampton and Hampton Hill). If no such person applies or is not deemed suitable as an occupant of the Cottages the Trustees ma}.- consider an). deserN'ins poor of tlie same area. The main concern of the Trustees is to maintain the Cottages to a reasonable standard so far as finance is awailable and have the w'elfare of the occupants in mind.
