“Just when you think that it can’t get more successful the Village Hall continues to flourish! This year has seen our regular clubs sustained and many new opportunities being created. A major achievement has been becoming the first community hall in West Suffolk to obtain a licence for weddings, civil ceremonies and naming ceremonies. We are in the process of producing publicity materials to promote this. The Community Suppers and Lunches continue to be well supported and everyone comments on the friendly atmosphere and how they bring the community together. The Village Show committee excelled themselves and created a very enjoyable event. Much of our income comes from grant funding. Over the last 2 years we have received over £26,000 and have pending bids for a further £9,000 plus. All the Committee deserve a huge amount of credit with special thanks to Trev as Chair plus maintenance, Dave as Treasurer, Ian as Bookings Manager, Sue for organising events and Allan and Steve for stand in caretakers. We look forward to many more events especially our Christmas dinner/dance. Thanks to all”
