The Chadwick Trust was set up through a Trust Deed executed in 1890 by Sir Edwin Chadwick to embrace promotion of sanitary science and health, the prevention of disease and the physical training of the population. The Trust supports research and teaching in Public Health and Public Health Engineering at University College London, through the award of prizes, scholarships and fellowships.
Objects: The Promotion Of Sanitary Science, The Promotion Of Health, The Prevention Of Disease And The Physical Training Of The Population Secured By The Promotion Of Public Lectures, By Grants To Educational Institutes And By The Presentation Of Chadwick Medals And Prizes To Persons Who Have Shown Exceptional Merit In Subjects Within The Scheme Of The Trust.
