OBSERVATIONS Without the roof repair and unusually high repair and maintenance charges 2024 would have resulted in a small surplu5. The hall is getting well utilised and basically covering usual expenses. The 2025 redecoration expense should be covered by normal fund-raising and letting activities provided there are no major negative surprises in terms of repairs. The c05t of repairing the steps to the Reading Room should also be covered by these attivities. The internet charges are quite high but it is deemed essential to have access.
