2024 NOTES
The major item during the year was the cost of the roof repair and a550ciated fund-
raising efforts.
A grant of £7,OCK).00 was re￿iVed from UK Shared Prosperity Fund: Yenner-a-file-
crowdfunding raised £1.254.00; the Parish Council gave £3.(KJO.00 and there were
several important individual donations.
Many events also contributed to the fundraising.
Repair and maintenance were up due to significant boiler repairs. electrical work
and fire alarm upgrade. Minor repairs and annual MaIntenan￿/CheckS as usual.
Lettings were substantially improved year on year and pleasingly V￿re better than
pre-pandemic levels.
Donation5 benefitted from Village Lunches and Christmas Dinner donations.
100 club has been more than fijlly 5ubscribed- thanks to P Higginson.
Parking down due to timing of collections.
Cleaning increased due to more frequent lettingsfinflation. Gardening continues to
be by volunteers.
Event costs down due to Moviola nettinE off vs income.
Ail utilities, insurance. licen￿5 and broadband increased due to inflation and
utilisation related costs.

OBSERVATIONS
Without the roof repair and unusually high repair and maintenance charges 2024 would
have resulted in a small surplu5. The hall is getting well utilised and basically covering usual
expenses.
The 2025 redecoration expense should be covered by normal fund-raising and letting
activities provided there are no major negative surprises in terms of repairs. The c05t of
repairing the steps to the Reading Room should also be covered by these attivities.
The internet charges are quite high but it is deemed essential to have access.
