Reserve Policy
The policy is to keep any likely commitments below the level of reserves, making no allowance for future receipts.
Grant-making policy
The policy of the charity is to make grants to charitable causes largely within the local community, but with a percentage to overseas causes either in line with current Rotary International objectives and/or where there is a high level of confidence that the money is needed and will be spent effectively.
Investment Policy
The charity’s funds are held in its bank account.
Major risks
The exposure of the charity to risk is relatively limited, in that it has no premises or employees, and the events that provide nearly all its funds have to date been run by the CLUB and not by the charity itself.
Financial risks are contained by the conservative policies on reserves and investment noted above.
