Objects: The Objects Of The CIO Are:(1) To Advance In Life And Relieve The Needs Of Young People Living In The London Borough Of Merton By:(a) Providing Recreational And Leisure Time Activities In The Interest Of Social Welfare, Designed To Improve Their Conditions Of Life;(b) Providing Support And Activities That Develop Their Skills, Capacities And Capabilities, Enabling Them To Participate In Society As Mature And Responsible Individuals.(2) To Promote The Efficiency And Effective Use Of Resources By Charities And Not-For-Profit Organisations By Providing Support, Advice And Training, And By Assisting Such Organisations To Further Their Charitable Purposes For The Public Benefit.(3) To Promote, Organise And Facilitate Co-Operation And Partnership Working Between Third Sector, Statutory And Other Relevant Bodies In The Pursuit Of The Above Objects Within The London Borough Of Merton.for The Purposes Of Objects (2) And (3):(A) “Third Sector” Means Charities, Voluntary Organisations And Social Enterprises.(b) “Charities” Means Organisations Established Exclusively For Charitable Purposes In Accordance With The Law Of England And Wales.(c) “Voluntary Organisations And Social Enterprises” Means Independent Organisations Established To Deliver Community Benefit And Not Permitted By Their Constitution To Distribute Profits For Private Gain, And Excludes Local Government And Other Statutory Authorities.
