Activities

We seek to stimulate public interest in the area by encouraging the protection of features of historic significance, and by providing access to a maritime museum and shell art gallery in historic buildings we maintain. We support initiatives that enhance the continuing preservation and development of features in the area, and those that seek to conserve the historic nature of the area.

Objects: The CIO Is Established For The Public Benefit For The Following Purposes In The Area Comprising The Three Civil Parishes Of Sheringham Town, Upper Sheringham And Beeston Regis ("The Area Of Benefit"):(i) To Secure The Preservation Protection Development And Improvement Of Features Of Historic Or Public Interest In The Area Of Benefit.(ii) To Educate The Public In The Geography, History, Natural History And Architecture Of The Area Of Benefit.(iii) To Promote High Standards Of Planning And Architecture In Or Affecting The Area Of Benefit.
