Activities
Preserve a unique collection of lifeboats, fishing boats and displays of local history.The museum has received significant financial support from the Heritage Lottery Fund so that all the artefacts can be moved to a new museum on the seafront.
Objects: The Charity’s Objects (‘Objects’) Are Specifically Restricted To The Following: The Advancement Of The Education Of The Public By: I. Providing And Maintaining Museum, Exhibition And Education Facilities In The Area Of Benefit Comprising Sheringham Norfolk And Its Environs;2.securing The Preservation, Protection, Development And Improvement Of Features Or Items Of Historic, Cultural Or Social And Economic Interest In The Area Of Benefit So That Members Of The Public May Develop Their Knowledge And Understanding Of The Heritage Of The Seaside Town Of Sheringham And The Surrounding Area; And3.preserving And Exhibiting Historic Lifeboats Fishing Boats And Their Equipment Associated With Sheringham And Thereby Contributing To The Knowledge And Understanding Of The Public Of A Lifeboat Service And The Local Fishing Industry.
