The organisation advances its charitable purposes primarily through the operation of a museum that preserves, interprets, and displays the history and heritage of the Staffordshire Regiment and the Mercian Regiment. Objects: The Objects Of The CIO Are: (1) To Educate The Public And Members Of The Regiments In The History And Military Accomplishments Of The Regiments; (2) To Promote Military Efficiency And Encourage Recruitment By Public Exhibition Of The Collection In A Museum Or Museums Or Such Other Public Places As The Charity Trustees May From Time To Time Decide; And (3) To Conserve, Restore, Repair, Re-Construct And Preserve Objects In The Collection.
