Objects: The Object Of The CIO Is To Advance In Life And Help Young People Aged Between 16 – 25, Particularly Those From Socially Or Economically Disadvantaged Backgrounds, Through The Provision Of Grants Of Financial Assistance To Other Charities Or Organisations As A Means Of:(a) Encouraging And Facilitating The Provision Of Sailing And Maritime Training By Existing Training Providers;(b) Encouraging And Facilitating Increased Work Experience Opportunities In The Yachting Industry By Yacht Owners, Managers, Manufacturers And Similar Organisations; And(c) Developing The Skills And Capacities Of Such Young People To Support Their Participation In Society As Independent And Responsible Individuals.
