**Objects:** THE OBJECT OF THE CIO IS TO ADVANCE IN LIFE AND HELP YOUNG PEOPLE AGED BETWEEN 16 – 25, PARTICULARLY THOSE FROM SOCIALLY OR ECONOMICALLY DISADVANTAGED BACKGROUNDS, THROUGH THE PROVISION OF GRANTS OF FINANCIAL ASSISTANCE TO OTHER CHARITIES OR ORGANISATIONS AS A MEANS OF:(A) ENCOURAGING AND FACILITATING THE PROVISION OF SAILING AND MARITIME TRAINING BY EXISTING TRAINING PROVIDERS;(B) ENCOURAGING AND FACILITATING INCREASED WORK EXPERIENCE OPPORTUNITIES IN THE YACHTING INDUSTRY BY YACHT OWNERS, MANAGERS, MANUFACTURERS AND SIMILAR ORGANISATIONS; AND(C) DEVELOPING THE SKILLS AND CAPACITIES OF SUCH YOUNG PEOPLE TO SUPPORT THEIR PARTICIPATION IN SOCIETY AS INDEPENDENT AND RESPONSIBLE INDIVIDUALS.
